Doing our part for God....

Fred Somebody,
Thomas Everybody,
Susan Anybody,
and Joe Nobody were neighbors,
but they were not like you and me.
They were odd people and most difficult to
understand. The way they lived was a shame.

All four belonged to the same church,
but you would not have enjoyed worshipping with them.

EVERYBODY went fishing on Sunday
or stayed home to visit with friends.

Anybody wanted to worship but was afraid SOMEBODY
wouldn't speak to him. So guess who went to church- NOBODY.

Really, NOBODY was the only decent one of the four.

NOBODY did the visitation. NOBODY worked on the church
building. Once they needed a Sunday School teacher. EVERYBODY thought ANYBODY would do it
and ANYBODY Thought SOMEBODY would do it?

And you know who did it?
That's exactly right NOBODY!

It happened that a fifth neighbor
(an unbeliever) moved in to the area. EVERYBODY thought
SOMEBODY should try to win
Him for Christ. Anybody could have mad an effort.
You probably know who finally won him: NOBODY!

This little parable brings to focus again that each of us is personally responsible
for God's work. If we Leave it for somebody or everybody or anybody, nobody will do it. Let's work till Jesus comes!  Amen!  God Bless You! Have a Awesome Day! Till the next Post! J.R. on Tract!

The Silver Cross around my neck....

The silver Cross I wear around my neck is a simple reminder to me
of the fact that I am a Christian no matter where I may be.
This Cross is not magic nor is it a good luck charm.
It isn't meant to protect me from every physical harm.
It's not for identification for all to see, Although they do it's true,
It's simply an understanding between my Savior and me.
When I think about the Cross around my neck and what Jesus has done for me at the Cross of Calvery.
The Cross is a reminder of the price He paid for me and all it's people.
It reminds me, too, to be thankfull for my blessings day by day
And to strive to serve Him better in all that I do and say.
It's also a daily reminder of the peace and comfort I share
With all who know my Master and give themselves and there heart to His care.
So I wear a Cross around my neck reminding no one but me
That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life if only I'll let Him be.

Hope this post finds you doing well! Be sure to check out my Photo Blog:
 http://www.jrsphotospot-com.webs.com/
Hope the above ministered to you in some way! God Bless you!

J.R. on Tract! I do wear a Cross around my neck since coming home from Florida last summer, I had it a long time before that and didn't start wearing it till after then for whatever reason other than I didn't take the time to put it around my neck, I usually at some point had a Cross in my Pocket, I kept losing them. that is what the above is from however it originally was intitled  "The Cross in my Pocket". A Catholic ministry still sells them, However I'm not Catholic, I'm a Christian who does my best to Follow the Lord. Thats what the story befittingly says.
We are the Church, it's people, not the name over the Door or on the sign. Till the next post and always! Stay Safe!

Happy New Year!....Thinking about God

                            "THINKING ABOUT GOD"
                             God is like Coca Cola,

                                   He lights your path!

                             God is like Bayer Aspirin,
                                   He works wonders!

                             God is like Hallmark Cards,
He cared enough to send the very best!

                             God is like Tide Soap,

                              wish everyone did?

The Candy Cane Christmas story...

Jesus Gentle Shepherd,
This cane of red and white
Proclaims the sweet love story
Born on Christmas night.

This cane you see,
when turned around
Begins your name of Love

And now becomes a symbol
Of peace proclaimed above.

The stripes are friendship
and the nearness of your love.
Eternal, Sweet Compassion
A gift from God above.

And so this cane reminds us
of just how much you care
And like your Christmas Gift
To us it's mean't for all to share.

Merry Christmas!

The Dollar Tree had Palmers Chocolate
Candy canes with this story on the back
Of course they are a dollar a piece, I have had
some of Palmers chocolate before for valentines
and it was good as I remember. They also have Bob's Candy canes
made up north somewhere. I don't know about the Chinese
made canes. Probably had them under another brand.
Have a awesome day!
God Bless you! Read the other post below.

J.R. on Tract!

A Christmas Prayer...

Loving Father,Help us remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of angels, the gladness of the shepherds and the wisdom of the wise men. Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clean hearts. May the Christmas morning make us happy to be Thy children, and the Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake. Amen.     Robert Louis Stevenson ( 1850-1894)

Hope all is well with your family at this time of year! Pray for each other bearing one anothers burden. Jesus saves and heals, those that seek Him shall lack no good thing. May the spirit of Christmas be in your heart throughout the coming year and always! Jesus Love and mine! J.R.

In God's Hands...

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.00; a basketball in Michael Jordans is worth about $33 million. It depends on whose hands it's in. A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.00; a baseball in Mark Mcquire's hands is worth about $19 million. It depends on whose hands it's in. A tennis racket is useless in my hands; a tennis racket in Pete Sampras' hands is a Wimbledon Championship. It depends on whose hands it's in. A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal; a rod in Mose's hands is a couple of fish sandwiches; two fish and five loaves of bread in God's hands will feed thousands. It depends on whose hands it's in. Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse; nails in Jesus Christ's hands will produce salvation for the entire world. It depends on whose hands it's in. As you see now it depends on whose hands it's in. So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and relationships in God's hands because.........it depends on whose hands it's in.

Moments in Life....9 statements

His divine power has given to us all things
that pertain to life and godliness, through
the knowledge of Him who called us by
glory and virtue.
          ( 2 Peter 1:3 *NKJV )

Dear John,
There are times in this life when one of these
9 statements apply to each one of us.  So let them
now be reminders that Minister to us.....

                        "Moments in Life"

1. There are moments in life when you miss someone
so much that you just want to pick them from your
dreams and hug them for real! So cherish them while
they are with you.

2. When the door of happiness closes, another opens;
but often times we look so long at the closed door that
we don't see the one, which has been opened for us.

3. Don't go for looks; they can deceive.  Don't go
for wealth; even that fades away.  Go for someone who
makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to make
a dark day seem bright.  Find the one that makes your
heart smile.

4. Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to
go; be what you want to be, because you have only one
life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

5. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep
you human and enough hope to make you happy.

6. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the most of everything
that comes along their way.

7. The brightest future will always be based on a
forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you
let go of your past failures and heartaches.

8. When you were born, you were crying and everyone
around you was smiling. So live your life so at the end,
you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you
is crying.

9. Don't count the years-count the memories.......Life
is not measured by the number of breaths we take; but
by the moments that take our breath away!     Amen.

Don't Grow Old
===============

Many people are afraid of growing old.
I'm afraid of growing old and boring.

Many people are afraid of growing old, alone.
I'm afraid of growing old, insane.

Many people are afraid of losing their looks.
I'm afraid of losing my dreams.

Many people are afraid of losing their youth.
I'm afraid of losing my soul.

When you're 15, 35 seems ancient.
When you're 35, 15 seems juvenile.

A turnaround in a split second - two decades zoom past and
before you know it, it's only a mile to the next millennium.

Don't fear age,
it's a right of person-hood.

Don't fear death- it's God's greatest jest.

Don't grow old - you don't have to.

Don't date because you're desperate.

Don't marry because you're miserable.

Don't have kids because you think your genes are superior.

Don't separate because you think it's fashionable.

Don't drink because you have troubles.

Don't gamble because you think winning is inevitable.

Don't philander because you think you're irresistible.
Most likely, you're not.

Don't associate with people you can't trust.
Don't cheat.
Don't lie.
Don't pretend.

Don't try to buy your way into the kingdom of God.

Don't dictate because you're smarter.

Don't demand because you're stronger.

Don't sleep around because you think you're old enough and know
better.

Don't hurt your kids because loving them is harder.

Don't sell yourself, your family or your ideals.

Don't stagnate.
Don't regress.

Learn a new skill.

Find a new friend.

Start a new career.

Don't live in the past.

Time can't bring anything or anyone back.

Don't put your life on hold for possibly Mr. or Mrs.
Right.
Don't throw you life away on absolutely Mr. Wrong because your
biological clock is ticking and you can't afford to have your
eggs harvested before the new millennium.

There's always a mad rush to something, somewhere - but victory
does not always belong to those who finish first.

Sometimes, there is no race to be won, only a price to be paid
for some of life's more hasty decisions.

You can't always go with the throng who could be wrong.

Sometimes, you have to be alone to be enlightened.

To terminate your loneliness, reach out to the homeless.
To feed your nurturing instincts, care for the needy.
To fulfill your parenting fantasies, get a puppy.

Don't bring another life into this world for all the wrong
reasons.

To keep yourself warm, buy a jacket.
In the long run, it will be less complicated and less costly.

To make yourself happy, pursue your passions and be the best of
what you can be.

Simplify your life.
Take away the clutter.
Get rid of destructive elements - abusive friends, nasty habits
and dangerous liaisons.

Don't abandon your responsibilities, but don't overdose on duty.
Don't live life recklessly without thought and feeling for your
family.

Be true to yourself. Don't commit when you're not ready.

Don't keep others waiting needlessly.

Fall in love - it's the greatest thing on earth.
But take care and remember, after the fall must come the rise.

Go on that trip. Don't postpone it.

Say those words. Don't let the moment pass.
Do what you must even at society's scorn.

Write poetry. Love deeply. Walk barefoot. Hold hands.
Dance with wild abandon. Cry at the movies.
Take care of yourself.
Don't wait for someone to take care of you.

You light up your life.
You drive yourself to your destination.
No one completes you - except you.
It is true that life doesn't get easier with age.
It only gets more challenging.

Don't be afraid.
Don't lose your capacity to love.

Pursue your passions.
Live your dreams.

Don't lose faith in God.

Don't grow old.

Just grow up.

J.R. on Tract again and always!

They planned my funeral....I fooled them! So did the Lord!

It's been a long time since the last post I have been in the hospital for roughly 7 months. The last month in a rehab hospital to learn to walk again. Two months before that in a Coma like state with double Pneumonia. They thought or was told by Doctors I wouldn't make it and actually planned my Funeral. However, I guess the Lord is not through with me and my ministry just yet. I had a Trake in my neck, was on dialysis, and a ventilator at one point. I couldn't talk at first with the trake and thought I never would again. I regained my voice thank the Lord. The trake was removed and ventalator. I was taken off dialysis and told by the Kidney Doctor I did not need it any longer! Praise the Lord! At one point I thought I couldn't go on, the sound of the trake making noise as I breathed It at one point nearly drove me up a wall. It crackled and made a noise in my ears that was greatly annoying. I had a hard time imagining it getting better. But I made it through with prayer and the Lord, one day at a time. I am at home finally and walking with a rolling walker when we go out. It is not easy going up stairs, however, I am regaining strength. Thanks for continued prayer when you think of it. My back and hips is not doing that great yet. I am having to sleep on the couch or in the recliner and it is hurting my hips and back. I have had sleep apnea in the past and can't sleep flat in bed. Lately I have had congestion building up and coughing if I lay at an angle so I am sleeping sitting up. Not easy but I do manage to sleep. I am praying at The Lord's direction for my continued life and have not given up! I am optimistic about the future. My finances have taken a hit. I have lost my hosting for my other sites on the net and hope to get them back online. No one paid the hosting bills and they shut them down. This site was the only one paid in advance. I'm waiting on the Lord! He'll fight my battles if I just be still! A new site will be in the works for a few of my sites. Pray for my direction and ministry and continued health. I am back on vitamins and herbs which they don't let you take your own while your in the hospital. I think that contributed to my pneumonia. Lack of vitamin D makes you more subseptable. Remember you may become a Facebook friend of mine at www.facebook.com/jlrasmussen . I should have www.jrsblogspot.com my ministry blog back on line or forwarded to this site. I hope all of you get in the habit of checking this site on a regular basis, I intend to update sooner than I have. Pray for me as I pray for all my blogging traffic. Have a blessed Day! Jesus Love and mine!  J.R.

God is Good...

An Honest Accessment.....My mother will tell you as A child I never gave my mother a minutes trouble. I didn't cry, throw panics, pitch a fit because I didn't get a toy while shopping. Behaved as a teenager. Had my own Lawn business in High school and College days. I never studied the Bible. No one impressed the importance of such. All I knew was John 3:16. And Lived primarily by the Golden rule. No one told me about Sin and things that were considered a sin. I knew early on that I didn't need a Baby or a wife that I could'nt take care of. I didn't Know the word Faith or the meaning there of. However, I thank the Lord that I haven't had that responsibilty with the health concerns I have had since 1988. The bible says if you lose your life for Jesus sake you will find it. So what am I saying here? I need you prayer. God has his timing for all things in our lives. If there is any correction the Lord needs to help me with. I hope I can discern it. The bible says "If you do things pleasing in his sight we have what He Wills for us." Does that mean He will give us a Mercedes? He rewards those that seek Him. Does it mean you will still get one? No. God sees the bigger picture. If He gave you a Mercedes this week and a year from now you died, which He knows anyway. The ones who get it may sell it and use the money to ruin there life and others. I want to go to a new level in the Lord. I want to leave what I need to leave behind. I haven't split churches in the past or tried to undermine it in the background. With that said I will stand up for the truth as I know it. I am no Bible Scholar. The message is the  The Cross, Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus. All who call upon the Lord shall be saved! Everyone is pushing for the Rapture in alot of ways. I have heard this since 1988. There are those setting Dates out there now for this coming year. No one knows the Day or the Hour, not even Jesus. I have Classmates who don't believe. I am claiming them as believers. If you do an in depth study Of Revelations there is a lot to really come to pass. We still have the usual Banking System. I know of a few banks locally that have been built. It's when you see the Temple being built on the Temple mount. You better look out! Right now the Muslims have it. However, don't get me wrong. That could change quickly.

I went to an end time study with Marilyn Hickey many years ago in Orlando at Benny Hinns Church. Do I know everything? No. It was a Good study. I don't see how she pulls some of what she did out of the study. However, I thought it was good. With the beginning of what I said, Am I saying I am a Goody two Shoe. No. I just want to be Perfect as I can and Do what The Lord would have me do in His will. If I don't agree with You, I will tell you in Love, I hope. I will always stand on the Truth As I know and percieve it. Seeking the approval of Jesus the Most! and Our Heavenly Father!

With God All things are possible! I want to do my part! How about you!

Jesus Love and Mine! After you have done the will of God Comes the promise. Pray for the Church. Pray for me and my Tract and online ministry. God Bless you as always!
